today while standing in line at the post office, a nice gentleman asked me if anyone had ever told me i looked like a young sally field? well...not that i can remember. i have been called gidget many a time, but that is most likely because i am so gosh darn tall. now, i don't know that there is any validity to this, but as someone who quite likes sally field, i was flattered. my guess is that he saw the frumpy, chubby, pregnant lady standing in line and thought he would make her day by telling her she looked like a young all-american icon. i bet he has an expecting wife, sister or daughter who needs that occasional pick me up and he thought he might as well share the same positive vibes with me. true or false, i'll take it. thank you kindly sir.
on that note, i have had several of these comments in my life, that i look like various celebrities. some flattering, some not so much. i don't imagine i am alone, who do people say you resemble?

It was so good to see you the other day. You are for sure NOT a frumpy, chubby pregnant lady in the least.
I've never been told I look like anyone famous (other than punky brewster, so I'm not counting it), but I get told all the time that my daughter looks like Shiloh Pitt.
I am so very jealous. I spent many a summer afternoon watching Gidget... really a classic.
Oh whoa... I see it too! totally. I get told I look like someone different every time... I've gotten as good as Catherine Zeta Jones (that one sends me into hysterical laughter every time), to the little brunette in high school musical, and as bad as Lindsey Lohan! Yes, from my brother in law too. Really... a tall, thin, coked out red head? Really? My neighbors little girls were so excited when I moved in, as they were convinced I was snow white! haha, how cute is that!
I'm glad you posted! I totally see it. The bangs help for sure! I have been told I look like Bette Midler. You don't have to comment on that one. Although I am sure there is someone else out there I might look like.:)

my biggest one is what's-her-bucket from save the last dance. i can't remember her name. anyway, i don't think she's that cute, and i get it everywhere i go.

In high school people told me I looked like Alicia Silverstone. I also had two tell me that I looked like the lifeguard on Sandlot. But of course both of these were before I had children!

yep, i can see it. i've gotten sarah michelle gellar before, and audrey hepburn. she's my favorite. at the end of my pregnancy, people (men mostly) were saying "you look about ready to pop! you must be due any day." um...thanks. you look fat too sir.
ohhhh my gosh you totally do. People keep telling Bradden he looks like Matt Lauer and I have gotten that I look like the brown hair freckly lady from "Lost".
